Dad and Son Welcome to the Middletown Recreation Council Web Site!
The Middletown Recreation Council has activities for all ages and in all seasons. Our goal is to provide the opportunity for the Middletown Community to get together with their neighbors, enjoy the beautiful Middletown Park and have a good time.
Our activities include Volleyball, Spring Egg Hunt, Marbles, May Festival (celebration of Earth Day and features The Great Middletown Scavenger Hunt) and the July Independence Celebration in the Park. We are also open to suggestions on other activities that you want to see the Recreation Council sponsor. Members and volunteers for all events are needed. We hope you consider joining our group. We meet the second Thursday of every month at the Middletown Primary School.

Annual Egg Hunt

Time: 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm. Rain or Shine!
Location: Middletown Community Park 7628 Coblenz Rd.
Ages: 2 to 12 years.

Over 4,000 eggs to collect for prizes! Find the three special eggs in each group for a special stuffed animal. Egg Hunt will begin promptly at 1:00 pm with 2 yrs. to 3yrs, with 10 minutes between each hunt. A balloon artist will entertain you while you wait for your turn to hunt. This event is free to the community. Sponsored by the Middletown Rec Council.

Community Garden & Pizza Garden

Location: Wiles Branch Park

Sign-up for the annual Pizza Garden in Wiles Branch Park thru the end of April. A small plot will be assigned to your child to grow their own vegetables you would find on a pizza for the season. All Plants are supplied by the MVCGA. Your child will need gloves, shovel & watering can. This is a great opportunity for your child to explore, discover, and learn about plant life and the natural world. Plots are limited and are based on a first come first serve basis and are free to the community.

Mom & Dad may sign up for the Community Vegetable Garden too!

A 10’ X 10’ plot will be assigned to plant your own vegetables to care for the season. The Community Vegetable and Pizza Garden is free to everyone.

Mission

The Middletown Recreation Council always welcomes anyone who would like to be a part of our organization. The MRC is a Middletown volunteer division of Frederick County Parks & Recreation. The Middletown Recreation Council has activities for all ages and in all seasons. Our goal is to provide the opportunity for the Middletown Community to get together with their neighbors, and out-of-towner's to enjoy the beautiful Middletown Park and have a good time.

Our activities include Volleyball, Fund Raising for the Middletown Skate Park, Spring Egg Hunt, Marbles, Color Me Spring Festival, Independence Day Celebration. and Color Me Autumn Festival. We are also open to suggestions on other activities that you want to see the Recreation Council sponsor. Members and volunteers for all events are needed. We hope you consider joining our group. We meet the second Tuesday of every month, 7:00 pm, at the Middletown Primary School.
